FULL DESCRIPTION: Celebrate the Winter Solstice with haunting legends of light and theatrical tales surrounded by traditional and original music and song. Master storyteller Diane Edgecomb entertains with tales of the longest nights including the beautiful myth of Balder and the Mistletoe from Scandinavia, humorous English Wassail stories, and music from Solstice lands. Accompanied by Celtic harper Margot Chamberlain and multi-instrumentalist Tom Megan the performance offers a fascinating look at the stories behind winter holiday traditions. Songs evocative of the season and lovely instrumental melodies round out the event.
