Social Justice Book Club: How to be an Anti-Racist, by Ibram X. Kendi

This week focusing on Chapters 7-9. After Service Sunday

Interested in the idea of the book group about Anti-racism, but unsure of what the conversation would be like? Not had time to find the book and read the first part? Curious, but not fully committed yet?

Everyone is welcome. The facilitators are creating a safe place to deal with the sometimes uncomfortable truths of racism. With solid guidelines and open hearts, we see this first session as a way to learn more about the book, whether you've read any of it yet or not, explore some main ideas Kendi develops, read some short segments, and talk together in the larger group and in smaller groups.

So all of you are invited to join the opening conversation, Sunday, Nov. 14, 12-1:30.

Contact Iris, at irisannegrant@gmail.com to sign up and receive the Zoom link and some of the questions we will be discussing.

We have free copies of the hardback version of How To Be An Anti-Racist available on a first-come, first-serve basis thanks to our friends at the Cathedral of St. Paul who had extras to share. Let Ted know if you would like one via email - ted@stjohns-jp.org.
